My favorite part of our vacation house this year was the walkway to the Pamlico Sound. The entrance was right next to the driveway and went out past the pool area and down to the water. On this day, it was especially beautiful. The water was a pale, milky blue and seemed to go on forever; the light reflecting off of the waves looked like millions of diamonds. I could've spent all day watching and listening to the gentle waves.

I was enchanted by our little beach and snuck peeks at it every day - I love how different a location can look depending on the time of day and quality of the light.
